Some nice ones from The Netherlands René R!
This coming Sunday about 800 ACVWs (and my Porsche 912 ;-)) will be parked on the boardwalk again for the yearly event "Aircooled Scheveningen" I am sure there will be some splits present 8)
Korte Hoogstraat is in Rotterdam and the big shop in the middle is still there. |

It's a vertical garage, with cars stacked up on shelves. It's described as "An "autosilo" garage in Karlsruhe, Germany. June 4, 1955." I cropped that photo to focus on the VW. Here's the full picture (click to enlarge):

Here's an interesting one inside a more conventional parking garage with a ramp. Click to enlarge; the hubcaps have the large VW logo. Maybe a '48??

Not sure if it is appropriate to post non vintage content but here's a great timelapse from 5 years ago
and here's my former 60 vert parked on the boardwalk and photographed by a national newspaper
@notchboy: "MDKG" is my initials (Marcel Daniels) and Karmann Ghia as I was driving a 71 KG back when I first registered and I was so naive to think I would own that forever  . Should be "MDP912" now  |
