I run straight axle. I not did the job.
Bug drums and BRMs, 4 to 5 adapter for the rims. 195/65R15.
When I want to change a wheel the rubber of the tire press the lip and it's dificult to remove...
I saw the axles are cutted and welded... I supose to be shortened...
Not shortened enough?? Problem of the spacer?
Now I put stock 14" rims with half moon hubcaps...
Will hubcaps touch the lips when suspension goes up and down? That's what I am afraid of...
thanks in advance... |

With stock 14's it will not rub, When you had the BRMs with 195x65 its normal that the tire hits the lip when you go to take them off. I use a bottle jack or scissor jack and put it between the axle and the frame and start jacking it up, this will push the wheel down and make it easy to pull of the wheel. Or you can unbolt the axle from the spring plate and let the wheel fall down on its own.
You shouldnt have this problem once you put the 14' bus rims on. |
