I've been trying for a day now to find an answer to this q. Couldn't find exactly what I need to know. I need to know the correct length of the M12 X 1.5 top bolt for the front shock(s.) The Bentley says they're M12 X 1.5, but they don't mention the length. And....info on ETKA no longer exists for this. VW was no help.

Are they 80...90...or 100MM?

This is for a 63 Typ 1. Stock Bilsteins.

Part number 111413403A. It comes up as 65mm length on CIP1 and a few other places that specify the actual length seem to agree.

The exploded parts diagrams on Wolfsburg West are pretty helpful in determining the part numbers when you're searching for something.

I thought so. 65 or 66mm. I was asking here for verification. I have the part #...and I did feed into the SEARCH on cip1. They say 66. The shortest I could find today was a 70mm. I can cut that down. Thanks fer yer help!
