Thanks to all that now have my 2008 VW Calendar

I have a few remainders and would like to donate them or at least the proceeds to a charity.

Can anyone suggest a worthy charity?

Well you are in Long Beach so lets see, you have East Side Longo, West Side Longo, Insane Crip Gang, Rollin 20 Crips, Tiny Rascals Gang, which one will it be?

Thats like looking left to right in my high school yearbook

well if your going to hammer on a bus like the shasta trip, might as well be in bullet bus condition.that trip looks fun but rough on the goods.

Agreed. Justin of the Kombi Haus said "I'm going to drive a beater next year". He was spotted driving his really nice original paint bullet nosed doublecab.

Each yr it seems a major accident gets closer and closer. I wonder if 09 is the yr that somebody gets really hurt or killed. That would be a real shame and senseless. I can only hope not.

More senseless in the eyes of those who are indeed alive, are the wastes of humanity that just sit there doing nothing. BTW, how was the football game? If the person that dies is me, so be it, I (and most of us) would rather fly off a hundred cliffs and drown in icy waters than die in an armchair strangled by the disease of the sedentary.

Not sure how to take your post or if it is directed at me but if you are referring to me having no life you are SO wrong. I'm sure I have seen alot more then you ever will. I don't need to drive my bus off a cliff to say, YA I lived an awesome life and it was worth it... Sorry, I'm not that stupid. I'd really like to know who "most of us would rather fly off a hundred cliffs and drown in ice waters" are??

Couldn't really tell how the football game was, cuz I don't really give a shit about it.

I heard that no trees were harmed during the taking of this picture. LOL

That Shasta trip looks like everyday life for 5 months up here. Driving buses and trying to stay warm.

Campy Tue Feb 05, 2008 9:51 pm

Earlier, I was worried about a drought but, since then, we've had a lot of snowfall up here. The trip could be pretty scary. If I had a beater bus, maybe I would go for it. I should get my 1958 walk-thru kombi on a four-wheel drive jeep chassis going.

SurfCityRacing Tue Feb 05, 2008 9:56 pm

Id rather DRIVE the nicest, rarest bus on the SST than trailer it to the show or let it sit in some climate controlled garage.

The snow trip was the most fun I've had at any VW event...ever.
