That is good to hear. I stopped in to a local AZ this afternoon, they ordered one after seeing what I was shipped--she said some funny stuff, actually--
anyway it is expected in store on Wed. So maybe no big deal.

Navy..had the same results and very smooth with a strong improvement in performance. Change in MPG..hard to tell as it had been very cold..certainly not less and maybe a mile or two better. Not bad for the price.

I think the WBX engines like the disc injectors. Look forward to your report.

Wow, didn't know this thread was still going. I've swapped the rebuilt Bosch and Tomco/Lucas injectors a few times since I started this. Fuel economy is about the same, still running them, still work great.

So it seems we are experiencing the last gasps of a dying supply chain at AutoZone with the Sorenson 800-1206 injectors. After I was shipped only 3 correct injectors, the local store was unable to help me--can't get 'em--and phone support tells the same tale. Sounds like the O'Reilly's part is the better option now.

Is the Oreilly BWD injector truly the same as the Sorenson just in a different box? Is it ok to mix and match, running the 3 good Sorensons and one BWD? If anyone has the O'Reilly's 57530P, can they please inspect to see if it has the Delphi D1600BA part number on the injector itself?

I would not mix and match the injectors. The O'Reilly 57530 injectors are pintle nozzle and the GP Sorensen are disc type. Not the same.

I would return the AZ injectors and get four 57530 injectors new from O'Reilly.

Looks the same as the Sorensen. AZ said they are interchangeable. So I'm in the "trust but verify" phase. Plummerdesign wrote this on March 7:

It is worth a try..the disc injectors really seem to work well.
A1lf back on page four got some O'Reilly injectors and they looked like this:

I had 57530 ordered previously, along side 800-1206N. The image on the websites for 57530 is incorrect. The injectors don’t appear to be the same. Interestingly enough, there is "1200 RIN-206" labeled on the 57530. The 5730 are green-top traditional injectors.

So I am confused as to what you get when you order from O'Reilly. Worth a shot.

I have about 200 miles on 57530. They work. Can't speak for longevity or quality long term.

Local O'Reilly's had the 57530P this afternoon. Seemed easily available. It appears to be identical to the GP Sorensen unit, and looks different from the "no P" model a1fa posted. Compared to the Sorensen 800-1206N, the one I got has the same D1600BA part number on the injector itself, instructions are the same, address on box is the same, etc.

Thanks to I think plummerdesign for first alerting to this part.

So is the. O'Reilly 57530P pintle or disk?
From what I understand, pintle is OE spec and the disk is a better design as it is self cleaning to a degree?

Looks like the 57530P disc injector is the same as the AZ disc injector..a great find at less than $30 each with the usual discount codes.

The disc injectors don't clog and stay clean by design. They have a reputation of a poorer injector spray pattern. The white diffuser in the nozzle must help. I have no complaints with performance or fuel economy on my disc injectors.

Tomco sells the same injector for about $68 plus shipping. They have a nice write up on their website about the different injector tips and styles.

Just pulled the trigger on the AZ GP Sorensen along with extra seals.
I think the 26th is the last day for this promo.
Delivered to me at $111.58
I'll run 'em while I send off the OE for tweaking.
Hopefully the four from AZ will all be the same.
I'm all in for the, cheap is as cheap does, thing. But...

Side note is that I recently changed the AFM with a (new) unit and changed the O2 sensor. It runs much better but seems a little spitty at idle. After the new injectors, I'll put it on a sniffer for some fine tuning.

i installed a set of these just now and they wont fire. i noticed there is a little square plastic piece inside the firing end of them. is that supposed to come out somehow? i dont wanna pull it out and then find out i ruined it. i thought it was weird that there would be plastic inside these.

i just called the manufacturer and he was VERY quick to tell me to take them all 4 back to the store for being defective. that is not a very good thing to hear. he said "get 4 more and try again". how could i randomly get 4 bad injectors at the same time?

Not home now to take a pic, but the manufacturer says they belong there. Im gonna try to take em back to the store. Thats what they said to do. Ill give them one more shot. My old injectors are working, so thats proof.

The GP's? geesh. I can't win.
When mine arrive, I'll test with an ohm meter. Then maybe plug them in and turn the key before tearing apart the fuel lines. They should buzz, I guess.
