I have searched all over but can not find the correct cylinder compression that a 2000cc motor should have. I may be buying an 81 Westy and would like to know. Anyone have the answer?
Thanks

Thanks for the info. Do you know what a fresh 2 litre would have for compression? Im just trying to get a comparison to see how tired the motor is. |

Anything under 90psi is too little. The lowest clinder should also be within 10% of the highest. Ex. If the higest cylinder is 100psi, then the lowest should be 90psi. |

125+ would be good, look for consistencey in all 4 cyls. check it slightly warm and with the coil HT lead off and the throttle OPEN..... |
