I'm looking for new set of Dietz Style street-use headlights for my Manx. I've go the off-road part covered with a Baja Designs light bar, but I need a good quality high/low beam light for street use....

Has anyone seen a set of Empi's lately? The last pair I saw didn't look too great on the chrome. The 7" EMPI seems to be the standard choice, but are three any better options out there?

PS - I'm open the black or chrome housings.

Motorcycle headlights are always a nice option.

They offer 7" Dietz-style headlamps in chrome or black painted shells, complete with bulbs & wiring pigtails...

I'm also considering using headlight's with built in turn signals like these, to simplify signal mounting -

Has anyone else used headlights with built in signals? I'm wondering if

• the cops give you a hard time about the built in signals?
• if the wire for the signal fits in the stem of most housings? (most I've seen are already pretty tight with the 3 wires for the headlight.

With any new chrome headlights... Lot's of good quality automotive WAX.....

Also think the ones with built in turn signals is way to go.... One less "thing" to hang on front of buggy....

I got them on EBAY. A quick scan doesn't show the fluted style that I had, but they do have the smooth and the flamed. They were 5 3/4" lights.

Here's another option for headlights -

I would believe that these headlights would fit into standard 7" chrome/painted shells...

I have the EMPI lights on my buggy and they are holding up fine. The quality is pretty good and the H4 bulbs are nice and bright.

I bought stainless housings from Speedway motors.
Definitely good quality.

Nice buggy!! Are the complete assemblies made out of stainless (ring, base etc) or just the buckets? I have the chrome ones and the bases rusted in less than a year.

To be honest I'm not sure if the bases are stainless.
I can take another look tomorrow.
Speedway Motors.com doesn't say what the base is.
My car stays garaged so rust is kept to a minimum. (as long as the roof doesn't leak!)

Anyone have any feed back on the Vintique Brand? Looks like they have a lot of good options, Diertz and King Bee...

They don't come with grommets. I reused the grommets from my old headlight housings.
One light had to be retightened a while back but they've been fine since then.
They should be fine even for hard offroad use I'd think.
