"I like the springs, those are pretty random."

For you Everett...great thread.

I see some good stuff there!

The thin springs are especially nice, too often are rusted away or a stretched-out mess!

NOS overhead fresh air vent rubber...Random?

EverettB Sat Mar 09, 2019 7:48 pm

Neat, what's are the dimensions and thickness for reference?

MLockwood Sun Mar 10, 2019 3:42 pm

Paired up with my PGSG overhead flaps, which are crispy. Looks to be 9 1/4" long and 2 3/8" wide. The replacement material is a long roll of lengths, cut the lengths you need. Hope this helps those replacing this material.

Sorry, typo...random NOS parts!

EverettB Sun Mar 10, 2019 6:24 pm

Thanks, I will post that info in the overhead air vent thread in the Bus FAQ

Picked this up for my SO23 from a recently posted ad.

I've never seen a NOS flex tube before, so I had no idea how much they actually expanded. The old tubes that I have used in the past were very stiff and barely moved. This one is pretty pliable and will easily be installed with the engine in place.

From the looks of it that appears to be from a 1966 or 1967 single cab. I guess it could also be from a Bay window single cab, I am not that familiar with those.
