Saw the movie last night. One close-up shot the spare tire on the hood of the main Kubelwagen, you could see the wheel had a lot of rust pitting. |

I can't find any pics and I can't take a screen shot.
For those who have watched or watch Archer, they sometimes show quick scenes of the city and traffic. Sometimes you see a Beetle in it. |

Catching an old Law & Order episode "Ramparts" (original air date 1/13/1999) in which "a shooting sends police divers into the Hudson River where they find a VW bus linked to a murder case closed in the 1960s during student uprisings."
At the start the police fish a long submerged late split 11 window out of the Hudson underneath the GW. It then is the butt of a couple typical 60s jokes. |

I can't believe it- I may have new recon to report.
4 minutes from the very end of "Absolute Power", when Clint Eastwood is walking through a parking garage, he passes a safari-wearing (maybe velvet) standard.
There's a horrible Ted Danson/Howie Mandel movie on that has a scene where Ted's character picks up Howie's in a repainted yellow thing (looks like it's straight from "Speed 2"). The cool part- look carefully- there is a mouse grey standard sunroof bus in background. |

I watched this movie for the 1st time the other day.Real good movie. Don't know if anybody has mentioned this one yet .Probably., but here's a photo too. Jodie Foster movie"Little Man Tate" 1964 21 window split.
