They're still there! Ghost flames!
You can kinda see them on the bottom pic. |

My brother and mom, circa 1984, with his '64 mouse gray bus. Wonder where it is now? |

Built April 19th, 1961. It’s the only 61’ mouse grey bus that’s known to be Canadian delivered.

Just wanted to share with you guys the amazing find I dug out of a desert where there was no running water, im not even sure the guy had electricity. This guy has owned it since 2001 and its been sitting in his front yard in a dry desert area. OG paint 1964.

Creepin on this thread.
Thought I'd share some of my 64 Standard out of Colorado. My 10yr old son and I are building it up to be our daily and eventually his 'daily'. We can't fit the family in our 66 Highroof with ice-cream interior so we're beyond STOKED to have a standard with some room for kids and doggos.
Currently working on a lower door hinge repair and stashing all the WW bits and pieces we can. Thanks to Utah Transporter Association friends and Dr. Dave @ Vintage German for all the OG bits as well.
*excuse the Euro bumper..snagged it from the Swiss Highroof so we can dress it up in the driveway til we find a patina front and rear bumper that matches the rest of the USA standard vibe. We've staged parts in the bus near where they will end up. When the weather is warmer and the sun is out my son and I tackle small stuff and chip away at all the pieces that have walked off when it was sitting in CO somewhere. Driveway build! My neighbors love me.

I do not own this, but it came up for sale this week on Facebook Marketplace in El Paso, TX. It sold quickly. I tried to buy it but wasn't successful. I did speak to the seller, and it went to someone local so maybe it will pop back up for sale. Hopefully the new owner doesn't mess with the original paint. |
