Yep... both sides. I'm just doing the other now. When I'm finished I'll put the car back together to see how it sits.

I am 6' 5, and I have "heavy bones", and just barely fit using OG seats. In my '62 I will be using a Recaro seat from an early Golf I GTI, and will sit about like this:

There is rust under the battery which is next to the engine/body seal. I would guess there is sheet metal patch panels for that.

I am 6' 2", 210. I fit Ok with the seat all the way back and the seat back fully reclined. I would not want to spend more than a couple of hours drivingthe car though.

The wife is 5' 2". I can barely get in the seat after she has driven the car.

i just replaced the pans in my 74 ghia and when i welded in my seat tracks, i moved the drivers side back 2" then welded it in as suggested in another thread on here. idont know how its gonna sit just yet, i havnt put the seats back in there.
