Does anyone have a dimensioned drawing of a stock Beetle pan.
CAD is best, but I can live with what is available. |

The Bentley manuals have a line drawing of a pan showing the locations and routings for the clutch cable, the fuel line, the accelerator and heater cables, and the brake lines.....Would that work for you or are you looking for a precisely scaled drawing? |

hi,
I can tell you through much diligent searching that any blue print type drawings with accurate dimensions UNLESS they are for occupant and luggage capacity or the distance the bumper is off the ground type information, this Has not yet been found, at least not by me.
Why do you need these with so much detail? As mentioned the Bentley manual has a fair number of dimensions but nothing like a blueprint.
Good Luck, let us know if you unearth drawings.
Take your body off and make your own if you need them so badly.

This is what I have, hope it helps. I can't vouch for the accuracy, I down loaded it along time ago. It's in my gallery as well.

sorry if being off topic, does anyone have a drawing with dimensions for a cart to use to carry the beetle shell around? i am thinking of bolting it by the front two bolts near the panhead, and in the back, near the shock absorbers. the car is still on the pan and it's kinda tricky to do the measurements
thank you :) |

Sounds like you want to set up some metal dies to make molds to manufacture pans. It would probably be cheaper to buy a set of pans and go from there. Many of the pans sold are not as original as the real ones. Seat tracks are sometimes off, pedal stop plate holes sometimes missing. Seat belt bottom plate holes missing. Anyway, good luck. |

I am trying to rebuild a 65 vw beetle but the dimensions of the gold bars and clearance gives us a headache coz we want it to be that accurate as much as possible. I have that copy already. There are no available floor pans here in the province of the Philippines and it is much cheaper to have it done here than buying in the U.S., hope someone out there has one and willing to help |

What do you mean by "gold bars"? |

the rectangular shapes in the floor pan that is a size of a gold bar. I just need measurements if you have those |

8.5"X1.25 at the front or small end (2 gold bars)
10.5X1.25 at the rear or larger end (2 gold bars)
The individual sizes vary because it's tapered to the curve of the sides
of the pan.
Not sure this is what you wanted though?
Mine are all covered with sound deadener, but those are rough sizes.
Maybe you could find an old bug around, a friend, a stranger etc, and measure them first hand.
Look, I just DL the drawing posted above, I will take it to the garage and fill in all the numbers I can in CM. I will scan it and post it again. My wife is from Pampanga and I've been there, I know what you're trying to do and it's a big undertaking. I will get all the numbers I can.
Okey? |

Your dilligence paid off Thomas, then show them how we do it the econo way in the Philippines. It's so expensive if we get the floor pans outside PH, but pinoy ingenuity and craftmanship will always be there . . . for the love of Volkswagen . . 8) Kudos to your '65 bug restoration . . |
