i have a 1969 beetle single port engine and i am looking to put on some dual carbs. I was wondering what some recomendations are to which are the best to buy, and also if anyone has the dual solex carbs?

I would personally keep it stock until you switch up to a DP engine. I had the same set up: :69 bug, SP engine and went with dual weber ICT's. They worked ok but the performance gains on them weren't as noticable as I would have liked and with their short manifolds compared to the DP it made changing the spark plugs near impossible. However, if you do decide to go duals, I would recommend the Weber ICT's over the Kadrons. They seem to be a better built carb and matched better to the size of your engine.
