I am looking for a federal auto ECU. I think the number is 039-906-021C. But I read a post on another site that said this was for the Vanagon's '80-'83 auto. So now I am in an open loop. :?:

I was with the understanding that the Vanagon's were different. I have not found until your post that the ECU's are the same. I know the motors are the same but for some reason assumed the ECU's were different. Great now I can search the Vanagon classifieds to find an ECU. Thanks Karl. It was your info from T2 that listed the '80-'83 and I thought my number for '79 was wrong.

Oh well nothing there. The search continues with more knowledge.
