We have been completing rewiring a 1965 bug and all seams to be functioning but we are randomly blowing fuses. I don't think we have the right fuse setup. The only thing that has been added was a Sony CD player/radio. What is the recommended AMP fuses for the following fuse panel:

16 amp for wipers, brake light, flasher relay, and horn all others 8 amp. |

Sorry to change course on this thread, but I did a search and this post came close, so I'm keeping it together.
This weekend I was trying to figure out why my radio in my '63 bug (a Saphire 1, I believe) isn't working, when I found this wire cut:
So I understand that this has an in-line fuse, and that this should connect to the bottom, left of the fuse box (when looking at it in the trunk), but how? That connection already has a fuse attached (I'm assuming to my interior light, which the diagram shows). How do I connect both?

You should already have two "output" prongs on that fuse. If you don't, go to your local autoparts store and look in the electrical section. You'll find some special connectors that turn one prong into two prongs. See the top of the left fuse in this pic
