You all seem to be confused, just being a douchebag doesn't mean your lowered car is a hoodride. Hoodride is a style of car which happens to be driven by a high percentage of douchebags. |

I'm surprised there hasn't been more mention of the whole thievery aspect that Hoodride represents. A lot of people got the shaft by that so-called "entrepreneur." |

Derrick did not invent the term "Hoodride" .. He might have took the term mainstream and ripped people off yes.. Im not suporting him or the business he had.. But i think the term hoodride used to describe tattered old og acvw will stay around for a long while. I myself like the style and i own an og 58 that you could call a hoodride. While i dont think my car is a pice of shit, nor do I piss on it to induce rust and i dont cut holes in w decklids. It does have og paint that is faded and "patina if you will" It also has new brakes all through out and alot of other new seals, narrowed beam and polished wheels :D among other things. I just like old looking Og paint..My 2cnt.. Do what you guys want to your cars and dont worrie about what any body says there your own cars and they should reflect you own likings not anybody elses. |

I loves me some og paint too. And the less actual paint left, the better. And yes, it will be low. I've just been slightly unable to work on it due to the mild inconvenience of being 6000 miles away from it for the last four months.
I just think we can deep-six the name. It's been spoiled. Plus, it was a stupid name anyway... my two pence. |

Do you have plans to fix the parking brake so that you dont have to rely on a plank stuffed in front of the tires to keep it from rolling away?? |

My '70 is all original paint (what's left of it) and I can't wait to get it in paint. I'll admit I like the patina look for certain things, like a commercial Bus or something like that, but severe surface rust (my '70 qualifies) just doesn't look cool to me. Not hating on patina by any means, but I do hate on HoodRide. |
