lookin for some big time help..... i throw a rod on my way to Colorado from Virginia in april, my thing is sitting in a little town in Illinois at a mechanic's shop, I NEED TO FIND A ENGINE, i have been looking around alot with no luck , anyone know of a place to score a engine in the 1000 dollar price range? please help any ideas will help

Real Source is in Illinois. Their remanufactured long blocks are $1400. I don't know if they are anywhere close to where your car is broke down.

Check some of the info here http://www.type2.com/rescue/ to see if someone is close to where your Thing is at and give them a call.

well i move to breckenridge Co. and this place is a little costly to live so i have been saving money and trying to find a engine,i had a line on one near Durango Co, but lost the guys # so had to start the search all over once more, so yes thats what has been happing with the engine from april till now ,

lookin for a longblock or a cheap turnkey someone has

near Mt Vernon

Mt Vernon is close to Effingham where Mid America Motorworks is at and also close to St. Louis. There should be plenty of help around there.
