and for 12k, you too can own a bus with no keys or title \:D/
sign me the f#ck up!
Could be a 70 with updated brakes, but not likely.
did the 70 model ever come with 2 tone paint separated at the beltline? |

no, 71 was the first year here in the states with that 2 tone
body color to the outside of the drip rails, white from the inside of the rails to the roof up to the 71 model year |

Very true. I just figured that since the ad is full of shit, the original paint claim may be BS, too. |

I offered $600 for that heap when it was on craigslist for something like $9500. They countered at something like $6k firm. If the current seller paid anything close to that I almost feel bad for them. |

If they did then it would explain some of the present pricing stupidity. |

I read all the comments here and I only thing I was thinking was they put one too many zeros in the price tag. |

If a rusty early deluxe is worth $10k, then surely this non-running Riviera must be worth $17k - tree stump included.

I am curious what the parts might be worth. There is an identical bus to that one about a block from me that could use the drivetrain and other bits. |

IF they could make it run and yard drive it would add value, or if they could provide engine details (last rebuild, by who, etc) that isn't a bad deal really. a bit on the high side...I would pay 2,500-3K for it.
typically when I do Subaru swaps and the client doesn't want the engine etc I help them sell the engine/trans with all of the goodies for 2-3k depending on overall condition....and when I post it, it's typically sold in a day or 2 |
