Hey man, these days, we call "rust," "patina" and this gem has an abundance of "seam patina." The window seals for the cab door can be found just about anywhere these days, so don't even worry about how complicated the restoration will be. :wink:

I'm all about saving ACVWs, but I've seen better ACVWs meet the crusher.

Yep! And the original extension cords neither bear the "VW," nor "Westfalia" logos on them. This guy in Auburn Hills, I asked him to verify a price on one of his items a few years ago, because he had different prices for the same item and he got uptight about that. I would have otherwise paid the price, but I have learned to save myself peace of mind by not buying from sellers with attitude.

It's not COMPLETELY outrageous for a late Campmobile in super original condition. It's more (for me) that the market seems to have gone a bit soft. I agree that if the Bus actually has 200,000 kms, even if it's original, it's too high a $ to be asking. Original late year Westfalia like that will always we the most valuable Bay Bus.
