			| I wanted a new one but the one from a 64 bug seemed to work well. So i'm sticking with it. Whats the main difference between the new style and old style 30amp regulators..

			| The new ones are ugly as hell but work a lot better - all solid state electronics, and deliver a nice solid output voltage.  No sticking points, no overcharging battery, etc, all of which I experienced at various times over the years with the original type regulators.  I find my generator brushes lasting considerably longer than they did with the old style regulators too. |  |
