Not quite driving yet--no lights and I need to come up with some affordable front seats--also need all new window seals in the worst way. Every time it rains I get an inch of water on the floor!!

Woah that thing is a beast! Love it.

Drill a few holes in the floor. 😀
Nice looking Baja.

My recently completed 1972 Baja.
All steel. A cross between and traditional baja and an 11 style car.
An absolute blast to drive!

I've got the details on this build (still more to complete) also on the HBB Off-Road page if anyone is interested in seeing the start-to-finish. However this is the first time I felt like she earned a photo.

The rear bumper looks good. Did you modify a front bar for the rear? Love the innovation.

Not my offroad buggy, but I saw this in a guide book and had to share.

indianpeaksjoe Wed Feb 26, 2025 10:28 am

Ran into this buggy in town and went for a cruise with them back in the fall. It was mostly custom, with a 2.2L motor, 002 bus trans and a custom cage.

This is my Dottie. I've had a mental image of what I want in a baja bug for ~30 years and I'm slowly making it happen. Pretty close to driving her if I could just get the lights/wiring figured out. <grumble>

Making progress. Currently redoing a lot of wiring during the winter.

Spring 2025. Tons of fun to drive! Getting ~100 smiles per gallon!
