I am pretty sure this is the same guy that invented the VW trike, fiberglass air scoops and hacked wheel wells.

That belongs to Russ out in Klan Kaster, I have seen that thing before in person it is pretty cool!

paxilill Tue Oct 07, 2008 9:38 pm

Is there even $5500 worth of parts on that thing or is this a typo.

This is not hacked up Porsche speedster in the mid 80's.

tstracy39 Tue Oct 07, 2008 10:16 pm

If I were them I would have pulled any un-hacked Barndoor parts plus the 36 horse, trans, VIN plates and whatever they're attached to and buried the rest under the tires again. Very few VWs are so hacked that even the wheels have been cut up. Just goes to show you how one man's trash is another one's treasure.

then buy it.

Id say if the VIN and title were there, done deal. snatch it up and set it aside.
Start ordering metal from gerson, and get a birth cert. find out what it WAS. then put it back. not too big a deal. probably better than starting out with some of the beat down colombians, and you have less work to do. less deconstruction.
You could even make it something cool. say a std sunroof walkthrough.
sotiiiight!

It looks like he is at it again:
