That belongs to Russ out in Klan Kaster, I have seen that thing before in person it is pretty cool!

I checked it out a couple years ago when I was there buying some of his other stuff. Cool guy definitely flying under the radar.

Yep, thats Russ. I saw that in person before, it has alot of BD stuff on it, ultimately should be left alone, its cool enough for a VW junkyard/collection ranch, where you cld hop on and drive around with a guest. BEATS A GOLF CART!!!

He definitely is under the radar, and has an unique personality. I bought my '60 camper from him when he was working on my RHD '56 ragtop. He is a GOD when it comes to metal work, i kid you not but unfortunately he is VERY HARD to get through.

Anyway, he gave me some sketchy history but was emotionally attached to the '60 bus, I had to bug him for years before he would let me have it. Apparently someone he was close to died, and he got the bus sometime in '84? - anyone know who? He wouldnt reveal but I found a possible bullet exit "wound" up on the back part of the roof, who knows what happened? Tags were last registered in '84 so something happened to this bus LONG TIME AGO, i would have been 3 years old at that time.

The 60 bus in question:

It's supposed to be early version of Riveria? Or possible EZ Camper but no ID plate anywhere and its too good a conversion to be a hack IMHO. And i apologize in advance for posting any non-barndoor pics in here... I would have posted the other pics of Russ's barndoors but I think i dont have the authority to do so. :-(

As for your camper I have seen at least 3 early EZ's tht didn't have badges on them anywhere.

When I lived in Klan Kaster from '94ish to '01, even as a local, I had hard time getting through him- good luck! I actually emailed him with updates of his old bus (now my 60 bus) but no reply either... I might stop by my next travel to So Cal. Who has that double door '62 or '63 camper (og paint light grey slighty crusty on bottom) that was also on his property, I believe he sold it around 2000 or 2001 to someone named George?
