Man what a sweet ride, though I'm not sure it has enough ground clearance for my tastes.. and I wonder how the weight characteristics are in that back end.
[edit] forgot the link

480,000 South African Rand = $46,827 USD. Cheaper than some of GoWesty's Syncros.
Of course, then there is trying to import it.... |

In South Africa, the 1980~2003 VW Transporter T3 (i.e. VW Vanagon in USA parlance!?!) was super ceded by the 2003 onward VW Transporter T5, the 1993~2003 VW Transporter T4 (i.e. VW Eurovan in USA parlance!?!) having not featured in South Africa.
Unfortunately, the advertisement link you cited is no longer active! Do you recall any details of the camper-unit's internal features; particularly the number of sleeping berths?

Keep in mind that average salary & wage rates in the USA, are probably MUCH HIGHER than in South Africa!
The most IMPORTANT feature of the South African built VW Transporters, is that they are RIGHT HAND DRIVE! 8) |
