All. Finally getting started on my engine build, based on a 1960 industrial engine; from which I like to share some photos.
This year is great, since it is going into my 1960 ragtop bug.
Display is going to be WW 69,5 x AA 80 mm; supported with doghouse oil cooler etc. Hopefully it will be ready for the 2021 summer season.
Base engine were in great condition.
My local engine builder support mr. JD are providing fantastic help :D Here he is preparing for the 80 mm cylinders.
The Cylinders are furthermore machined to fit the dual port WW heads.
Preparing the Cranckshaft for balancing, the std flywheel are drilled for the 8-dowel pattern, using drill jig.
Pulley is going to be a 356 industrial engine type, which has same diameter as the std 36HP VW version.
Engine case being modified to gasket to fit the 356 pulley.
Next step is balancing the crackshaft :)
Carbs is going to be 32 mm Solex PCI.

| Assume you are using Okrasa heads? If so I have the same setup in my 56 Ghia, You’ll like it. |

| If you can find the speedwell Okrasa to IDF/DRLA manifolds I highly recommend them. 36 IDFs made a big difference on my 36hp engine |

Yes; head are WW Okrasa style.
I like the dual single Solex setup. And for linkage, plan is, to try to copy the first VW engine with dual carbs ever build. The 1939 type 64. This is simple and will work with the PCI carburators :)
