Hello, is there anyway to diagnose bad bearings in a wbx other then split the case? My oilpress is a little on the lowside, 25psi at 2000 warm with a new pump. My lifters started ticking near the end of a road trip. I cant really distinguish it theres a knock on the lower end since the lifters are noisy. I removed the filter to install the oil press gage and I think I saw a little silvery powdery material swirling in the little bit of oil on top of the filter. I still make pretty good power, runs OK. Any hints on how to check brgs with out major surgery?

Maybe 20Kmi on rebuilt. I think the case was OK at time of rebuild, didnt need align bore. Rods where reconditioned I think type 1 bolts installed. Crank was polished and in spec. Of course new brgs everywhere, new amc heads and brazil p&l's. This was 10ish yrs ago. The van sat for 5 years rarely started then 4kmi road trip this summer.
