Ok so I finally have some pics of shit put together. Not the car, that's coming soon, but the seats are together and ready to go in the car once the car is ready for them. I also picked up the speedo from North Hollywood Speedometer. Those guys are good for anyone looking to have something done. This thing is starting to feel like its really gonna be at classic. No longer is it me just saying and wishing for it to be done... Anyways... Pictures:

| Thanks Pete and no problem on the pictures. I expect the pan will be back shortly from the powdercoater and I'll take as many shots as I can of the beam/front suspension buildup. |

| Yeah it is the west coast classic restoration interior. I got it through Wolfsburg West. They sell it as the 58-59 interior. The materials used are top notch and it is dead on with the original interior down to the way the seams are stitched. I am so happy I paid the extra loot for this setup, it was worth every penny, nickle and dime it cost. I've used TMI stuff in the past and I've always been happy with their products but the WCC stuff is far and away the best I've ever seen. I will certainly be spending the cash on their interiors in the future. |

some updates... I finished the rear torsion adjuster with my buddy Jose and he powdercoated the pan. I got it back last Saturday and worked on it a bit. This weekend I should finish the pan up and probably have a bunch of the body finished too. My wheels should be back Friday and I'm hoping to throw the tires on Saturday morning so I can make it a rolling pan. Then over the course of next week I can build the motor and get it ready to go in. Once that's done I just have to mate the body up, get the headliner done and assemble the outside. I still think I can make classic...

The guy in the pics is my buddy Dan who is helping to make sure we get it done by The Classic. He's a good motherfucker and helped me both days last weekend. I included a picture of the seals because it took a long time to get the channels ready to accept them and a while to get them in, so they deserve their own pics.
So in order to fit the tranny into the 58 pan we had to swap the nose cone. The nose cone is from a 67 bus in case you were wondering. It's the only way the late synchro transaxles will work with the early pans.

| Thanks Rich, Pete and everyone... I have some more pics to update but I have to find the cable to my camera so I can copy them off. There has been a couple of setbacks but mostly with the wheels. The guy who is doing the refinishing is having some issues, but in the next little bit they should be ready. I have a feeling that my plans of making classic will be dashed because of it, but we'll see it may work out still. The pan is basically complete right now with all the brake lines, pedals, seal etc done. I'm waiting on a couple of parts to show up this week and it will be complete. I've also gotten a bit farther along with the body. Not enough to showpics yet but that is the next mini project for it. Hopefully that can be finished up this weekend. BTW Awesome powdercoat did all the engine tin and it came out amazing. He even made some custom industrial shields for the J tubes. So now there are some industrial shields out there that work with something other than the Berg header. Pics when it shows up this week for sure. But other than that I'll update this with pics in a little while. Hopefully tonight if I fin that cable. Thanks again everyone... :) |

The pedal assembly fully rebuilt

assembling the tailights. I pulled the filters out of them and polished the Hassia glass lenses up. They cleaned up real nice and the rings are repros from Wolfsburg West.
Putting the door latch system together. And having it stay shut all on its own.

Assembling the adjustable spring plates and getting the axles bolted up. Notice all the new hardware. Almost the entire car has new hardware on it. If it doesn't have brand new its been chromed, powdercoated or painted. That's how far down this build has gone now. :evil: The car now has different brake lines on it. It has stainless out back
brake lines and new clips.

Accelerator pedal assembly getting built and fully completed.
Putting them on and getting an idea what I had to trim to fit.
This is the test fit against the block and to make sure the airvanes were against the cylinder head. As you can see more adjustments were needed
Test fitting so tehy sat all the way back and getting them ready for the CB manifolds
This is the piece that goes behind the crank pulley. In order to get it to fit right I had to trim the area around where the dipstick goes through it and cut it shorter so it went far enough back against the block.
The crank pulley still didn't fit without rubbing after all the trimming of it so I had to cut a hole out for the full flow so it would sit back all the way.
pulley tin clearanced for the full flow system.
Intake manifolds in place after the trimming of the cylinder tins.
This is the sled for the right side of the motor after I notched it.
This is all the upper tin fit on to make sure the fan shroud would mount tightly.
