So i got my bus running and i was driving around with a buddy of mine and the engine was running great.
We drove around town for probably 15 minutes and then we begin to notice that the lights began to dim.
The car died and we jump started it and got it home.
The battery is dead and the starter doesn't have enough juice to start up, so could this be a problem with the generator?
And how does a generator work compared to an altanator?

Any type 1 alternator kit from any VW parts vendor will fit, make sure you get all the related parts like the angled fuel pump, stand, fan and fan plates and either modify your carb to clear or get the appropriate carb. You will have to drop the engine to install it correctly too.
Shure you don't want to invest in a Bentley manual instead? |
