Help him go to Christmas number 1 ahead of that X-factor woman!!! :shock:

Bought the CD the first week it was released in 1994 and was completely blown away. Just the best debut album ever!

Pleased to say I saw him play live in 1995 at The Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth, UK.

How do I download a person? It is something like teleporting on Star Trek?

Ah it's a UK thing Notch. Jeff Buckley recorded Leonard Cohen's "Allelujah" in 1994 and now there are 3 versions in the UK download charts trying for the Christmas #1 spot.

Leading at the moment is some talent show floozie with an overblown "Whitney Houston type" version...needless to say everyone who loves the earlier "definative" version wants it to upstage the floozie. :lol:

I couldn't of put it better myself!!! I'm jealous you got to see him live- Must have been amazing- I have to admit to downloading both Jeff and Leornard Cohen despite already having them both on my ipod- I really hope she doesn't get it!! :wink:

Yes, and I quote from a Trekkie site;

Quote: In one of Star Trek's most sobering and terrifying scenes, the ship's new Vulcan Science Officer, Sonak, as well as another crew member, Jeff Buckley , are the victims of a tragic transporter malfunction. Mercifully, we are told, they don't live long. This is the stuff of nightmares, a brutal reminder that no matter how far we advance, and no matter how high the percentage of success, there will always be accidents, there will always be that less than one-percent that falls victim to random fate.
