I bought a set of four genuine Fuchs wheels in their original packaging.

They were in storage from 1981, never fitted to a car, brand new.

I put tires on them for my bug project, I can't remember the J numbers, but tire sizes are 195/65 R15 and 205/55 R15

These are not ATS (Cookie cutters)

What are they worth

Reason I am asking is I can't get any info on the 15" fuchs wheel only the 16" ones.

No, my car is in storage. I will however be trailering it to a new facility on Saturday, will take photos then and post.

What I can say. They were meant for a 78 or 79 911sc and specially ordered from Germany to replace the 16" original fuchs the car had on.

The reason for this is that the original owner wanted to fit higher profile tyres to avoid losing tyres when going through pot holes without losing the authentic looks. However he sold the car before he could fit these new wheels.

The wheels are aluminium with only the inner coated black as from the factory with the outer edge being bare aluminium.

I only paid $400

I don't want to sell them, but I might want to insure them.

I have a set of 15x6 Fuchs and those are worth about $800-1000 in restored condition.

Are they four 6x15, or a pair of 7x15 plus a pair of 8x15?

Either way, you are a FOOL to not sell them to that guy. A set of late 6s might be worth $800,
7s and 8s, $600.

Yeah I am probably a fool :lol: , but this is Africa. Not too many of those wheels made it here.

I can safely say that NONE of those wheels are made there.

Huh :shock: ? I meant that not many of these wheels apart from those fitted at the factory in Germany to 911's destined for our shores were imported into South Africa. In other words 15" Fuchs wheels are really scarce in this part of the world as the majority (about 99%) of Porsches were imported with 16" wheels.
