Well I received for free one of those small electric fridges that students use in their college dorm and I have a cheapo 1000 watt inverter ...so I am going to test using it in the Westy this spring.

and I am still intrigued so I figured might as well try it out and let folks know if it works or not.
In a nutshell, I am going to put the fridge in the Westy and plug it into the inverter when driving, then when I get to the campsite I will plug it into the shore power.
If the inverter does not blow up it might prove to be a practical way to have reefer power on the cheap when there is shore power available.
