It's comin up quick folks. Can't beat the location. Hopefully it will snow again this year.(J/K Jen, but you know we'll still be up there even if it does!) Come hang out and enjoy some "pre-show festivities" with the Folks and friends at the historic Murphys Hotel the evening before. Been doing it for 3 or 4 years now. Always a good time!

March 15, 2009 - 6th Annual "Sonntag Treffen" (Annual Spring VW Get-Together)
Murphys, California

Hosted by the Mother Lode Volkswagen Club in conjunction with the Tri-Dam Lions Club

VW fans and valley VW clubs are invited to join us at the Black Bart Playhouse parking lot in historic downtown Murphys. This event is free and open to the public!

10 am to 2 pm
BBQ, beer, soda & water available (please no outside alcohol)

Bring your VW, stuff to swap, easy-up awnings, sand chairs and an appetite!
No cost to attend or swap

Rain or Shine! Snow cancels.

This is an opportunity for local VW clubs and individuals to network, discuss upcoming events, promote our clubs to the public and just enjoy the spring with friends.

There will be a raffle, which will end with a 50/50 raffle. The grand raffle prize is a 2 HP portable compressor. Right now I need "non" pink Thing seats and windows you can see through. Maybe we can trade. You probably have better eye site than I. And I know you must dig pink seats. <grin>

Week and a half left. So far the weather outlook shows nice weather. But hopefully it will end up snowing (right Jen?) :lol:

I am on vacation that week so hoping for drier nicer weather at least for that whole week. :wink:

Then it can go back to cold rainy weather and I will even be happy for some more snow. Grass Valley this year has had the pleasure of getting some of the white stuff.

Weather is supposed to be clear and dry this weekend! :D

We bought lots of grub, so be sure and bring your appetites and some cash for the raffle. Last year's 50/50 drawing winner won over $400!

EDIT: Holler if you guys want to swing by the casa on your way up Saturday for a beer. You got my number.

so we are going to meet up at perkos parking lot at 8:10 ish in sonora
leaving sonora at 8:30 for the morning run ..to the murf.

sonora perkos is on 49 in the osh shopping center. you cant miss it..

I noticed a little rain made its way into the forcast. Looks like it'll be in the early morning time though, so we should be good. We're leaving tomorrow at around 12:30-1:00pm-ish. I'll see if the Folks wanna stop on the way up. If not, we'll be havin bbq and brew in the hotel lot. You know how we do! Looking forward to seeing yall this weekend.

Latest forecast says that rain, if any, is supposed to be above Sacramento, and very light if that. I think we'll be safe. Thank God for no snow! :wink:
