Hi Guys,

Here are some parts I still need for the restauration:

Yep...here´re some new pics from the firebrigade barndoor. Last month the bus was totally stripped in an acid bath here in Germany.
Because of the thick paint, they had to dive it three times :!: Here are some pics of the acid pool:

On wednesday the barndoor goes to the welding job. After the welding, the bus gets it KTL paint. I´ll send pics

Greetings from Germany
Claus

Impressive.

Did they use phosphoric acid?

Claus, that is a beautiful sight, such a nice bus in clean bare metal !!!

Impressive.

What you do with the hole in the back?
Do you restore it as like "fire panel" or not?

Jorge, I don´t know which kind of acid they use. Will check that for you...

We´ll close the small side windows in the back. The rear window is larger than the original size.
I have an original rear window metal part for it. The bus gets the blue color like Axels 50 bus
which you can see here in this forum.

I´m still looking for:
- the original front bumper
- black knob with mechanism small vent window
- steering gearbox for a toothed steering wheel
- semaphores
- new wiring harness (where can I buy it?)

Thanks!

Very nice. Lovin it.
Feel a bit bad for the geniuses who run the acid bath place. Full covers on their hands and legs and boots on to protect from harsh chemicals..... and NO respirators. I guess your lungs dont matter right. Jeeeezus.
