I have a 74 standard fuel injection bug that I've been working on. Ive put in a 1600 dual port none fuel injected motor . My question is how do I bypass the stock voltage regulator under the backseat to run it to the alternator at the motor? I think it's the voltage regulator even though it looks like one I've never seen. This one is kinda flat and says motorola on it. Thanks for any kind of help. Danny......

Is your alternator internally regulated? I don't actually know the answer to your question saddly but this will help those who do know.

The 74 would have come with the Motorola Alt/Reg setup. If you are sure your new engine indeed has an internally regulated Alt this should help.

Thanks to Speedy Jim.
