What are the options for replacing rubber cooling system hoses on a 1.9L wbx? I've considered braided steel and have heard of steel coils being used to bend straight hose. Other universal options? Any sources left anywhere? If there is already a thread that I missed please link it.

I think he's looking for alternatives to the factory hoses, of which many are NLA. The bus-boy diagram doesn't show up on my browser, but the listing does, you'll see many NLAs there. A search should turn up some creative alternatives for the hoses, but many of the plastic distribution parts are going to be a challenge to replace. I think Van-cafe, or someone, is making a stainless reproduction of one of the 1.9L plastic parts.

Thanks for the links guys. I've searched for this topic many times and sometimes I just get frustrated with it. The hoses on my Van are original and it just bothers the heck out of me that some of them are NLA. I guess I'm just having a hard time accepting that my Vanny is getting old.
