Hey guys, I was wondering who all here paintballs? I'm going this upcoming weekend to a park that's having its grand opening and my friend is the one who owns it and he's a professional paintballer.

I have a Tippmann 98 Custom with a flat line barrel, electric hopper, 15bps response trigger, folding stock and remote hose..I'll post pictures later today.

If you get paid for running around in body armour, with a paintball gun playing " kill em all", sign me up....

Sorry it took me so long, the digital camera wasn't connecting to the computer, so for now the only picture I have of it is a crappy cellphone pic of it..

i used to play but when all the guns started going from pump guns to semi- auto and then finally to full auto and then to absolutely insane, the game just got lame and boring.

seriously ive watched matches where it seems like everyone is just playing Contra 3 spraying hundreds of rounds around while standing from the other side of the field.

When I went this past weekend, all but a couple of groups were professional, but the rule was, if you're playing an inexperienced team/group, then automatic usage was an automatic kick off the field, my gun is fully auto but only at the will of my finger, it runs off a response trigger.

I used to be crazy about paintball and am seriously thinking about getting back into it. I've built up a small arsenal of relics, some of which are older than me  . I'm in love with old school paintball. My dad is good friends with a 'founding father' who helped create a PB referee league (NAPRA) way back in the early 90's and he gave me some cool old stuff a few years back. I also worked at a local field through high school. Fun stuff.
Here's the highlights of the weapons cache:

My trusty Phantom. Awesome gun. Rock'n'cock, baby 8)
The 2nd is a nelspot 007, the 'cattle marker' that started it all. the thing weighs about 5 pounds (solid milled steel) and it's not that accurate, but you feel like a pimp playing with it.
then there's the splatmaster, the 1st mass-produced gun for the sport of paintball (but back then it was called 'the survival game'). The whole thing is moulded plastic (including the barrel), but is surprisingly accurate and a blast to play with. The field I worked at had a few dozen of these and we'd get big games going where everyone got 10 shots. Possibly the funnest game ever. Back to basics. Just say no to spray and pray.

I started out with a 98 custom w/ flatline, stock and remote though , but did bad things to it with a dremel in the name of customization  . (And i found out pump is more fun, even when you get murdered by the speedballers) Also got sick of people dodging the slo-mo flatline balls matrix-style on account of the backspin

Those are some badass carters BTW...

I am a real gunner, not a paintballer, but the 1911 looks of these guns is badass.

Took a bunch of kids last weekend for a birthday. First time I'd played since the late 80's. Semi Auto? Damn! 4k rounds in 2 hrs, 12 people. Had a blast. The guys running the place being the defenders were amazed at how agressive the kids were- no hunkering down and trying to pick off the snipers, but run/cover/flank/splat

Just bought a tippman x7. Im going paintballing after work.

PatterBon Sat Mar 21, 2009 4:50 pm

Nice! My buddy has a Tippmann X7 and that thing kicks ass! And I'm sure you know, but its really easy to field clean because it's held together with pins rather than bolts.

Those are truly badass! Pumps are alot of fun, we had a guy on our team who was using a pump, and was being made fun of by the entire opposing team one of the matches and he went ahead and took out 12 of the 14 that match. I've looked around for old school paintball guns and oldest one I've ever used was a Tippmann 68 Carbine..
