Hi. Just bought a Zenith 32 NDIX. I don't know squat about Zeniths except Jeff Hibbard says they're great. I'm looking for information/help. Anyone know web sites, books, anything where I can learn from. I've done some internet searching and all I can find is a couple of places that refurbish them. I want to know how to install, adjust, etc. Thanks. |

I just about always stumble on them. I have a bin of jets, linkages, and spare parts. I also have a complete carb for a spare. I get my rebuild kit from my local vw shop, Relic VW Parts. |

I have a set of duals I am thinking about fixing up but had the same questions. How big of a motor would these work well with?

If you google Zeniths you don't find a lot, but if you google it, then click on images up top, it links to some good sites. Here's one with some tuning tips.

i run a zenith too i could not find anyone who had smaller jets for it so my friend and i soldered them shut and redrilled them a bit smaller. worked good for me but it is still a little rich but not bad. It had jets on it to feed a 2332cc and i have a 1600dp. A little overkill on fuel. |

Make sure you have functional preheat for the manifold. Use an aluminium one if you can. They can be jetted for almost any size engine. Bigger engines give up top end. Mine is on a 2180 with a WEB VZ 30 style cam. The 356 registry has detailed rebuild instructions. |

Aluminum manifold? Do you know if the stock solex heater tubes would fit the zenith manifold? |

Aluminium intake
You might be able to adapt progressive weber preheat tubes.
Preheat I added to a Tri Mil. Made from 1/2 tube and pre heat block offs.
