View original topic: Good repair shops in Cali. - Sacto/LA?
Mr. Electric Wizard Wed Apr 15, 2009 12:43 pm

I am about to make a purchase on one of several Vanagons that I currently looking at.
I am in Houston, Tx, but will be purchasing a California van.
After purchase I need to get the van to a repair shop to give a once over before I fly over to drive it back to Texas.
Need to have things done like checking brakes, wheel bearings, etc.
Seeing as how Vanagons are a dime a dozen in California, can any of you give me a reference to a good repair shop in the Los Angeles and Sacramento areas?
Not sure where It'll be purchased from yet.
Just trying to be a little pro-active.
Muchos Gracias.

The search has been widened to Utah and Colorado.
I will post again when a deal has been struck.
To be continued.

I looked at a Westy rebuilt by RoadHaus "top mechanic"
It barely made it around the block......

I am using Unique Imports in Mission Viejo (15 min from CM)
they are doing extensive rebuild/mod/solar/electrical
Cut the price 50% from what GW wanted, and got what I wanted
VERY happy with their work

Once my Westy is done, i am taking my Jeep there
for some semi major work. Satified Customer
