This photo and caption stopped me cold... something really significant:

"Michael Collins, the astronaut who took this photo, is the only human, alive or dead that isn't in the frame of this picture, 1969"

"Collins took this picture of the Lunar Module, containing Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong with Earth in the background, during the Apollo 11 mission.

This makes him the only person ever to have lived who was not inside the frame of the photo. Matter cannot be created or destroyed. That means that every human that lived up to the point of this photo being taken still exists, at least in some form, and every human that has been born since then was also is in this photo, at least in some form.

So even if you were born after this picture was taken, the materials you’re made from are still on the frame of this picture."

Some photos are beautiful.

Some change the way you look at life.

Buzz Aldrin is the only crew member left. I remember seeing the 3 of them at the Bakersfield (CA) Business Conference years ago. A rare event because Neil Armstrong was not fond of public events...

Nice poetic thought but a lot of matter has been created and destroyed.

Johnny Crawford, played Mark McCain on the Rifleman TV series, Lucas' son.

And why Lucas didn't have a fortune from the bounties and possessions of all the bad guys he killed - that still baffles me.

Kirk died 15 months ago at age 103. Did they both have good genes, or have a healthy diet, or have a positive attitude toward life? Maybe all three.

I read recently that the generation born circa 1930 could be the longest living generation due to their low sugar/fat diet and active lifestyle.
