Dave Allen, bassist for seminal post-punk band Gang of Four, died April 5 at home in Portland with his family, according to the band’s announcement on social media. He was 69. He had early-onset mixed dementia.

I grew up listening to Jed on KROQ as well when I lived in SoCal. I can still hear his voice and he'd call himself "Jedum Fishum" on occasion. Not long ago, he was the guest on Allie MacKay & Bean Baxter's (of Kevin & Bean on KROQ) podcast "A Cup of Tea and a Chat". RIP, Jed.

I too remember Jed the Fish of KROQ fame. I'm sure that TeeDee is rather sad today!

When I was working in a Newport Beach detail shop all those years ago.
We had epic music battels with the shop owner.
He hated New Wave. Steve always insisted we listen to Disco music while detailing very high end European cars.
We, as a group, finally won the New Wave/Disco war. KROQ rocked the detail shop at full volume.

He was the afternoon DJ for 34 years. Unreal how time flies!! :shock:
