Information from user AWOLPRODUCTIONS:
Please help find Allen Alfiler
Please visit www.allenalfiler.com and help keep our scene aware
of this career crook, he is targeting VW enthusiasts nation wide and since we have been on the case, stolen over $14,000.00 in deposits and growing.
if you encounter Allen Alfiler please contact me at [email protected] or through the website www.allenalfiler.com
if you are ripped off by this POS the cops in your jurisdiction will probably not know what to do and in most cases will tell you that this is a civil matter, THIS IS WRONG! make them aware of the website, tell them you are asking to file a "COURTESY REPORT" these are special reports needed when a detective in one area is building a case with multi jurisdictional issues.
I have 7 detectives nevada and california who i forward all information to on a daily basis and i keep them up to date with new victims who seem to report daily.
we are intent on finding this creep and putting him in jail!!!!
and we need the support of this great community to help spread awareness.
Update April 13, 2011 - He was arrested
Please see:

Later update - he is still cheating people... updated in this thread

This is a total fraud/scam ad. I did not post it, nor did I give permission for my pictures of my car to be used. I've already notified CL of the fraud ad and hopefully, they'll remove it ASAP.

They take your deposit and disappear, I assume.

Someone else reported this the other day, but I only read the Topic "Samba Ad" and deleted it.
After reading it, I realized I had made a mistake, but could not restore it. |

| Maybe it is not really a scam. Maybe the tire kickers that respond to ads, ask a bunch of questions, and waste the sellers time are looking for people with the same interest. Sorta like a tire kicker personal ad. :D |

I found the car of my dreams two days ago, and having read the sellers response (see below) am quite convinced it a scam. The add disappeared after 12 hours being posted. I am still talking with him to clarify (thankfully my husband has access to all the vin searches, state registration etc . . .), but I would appreciate you expert feedback!
Thanks Kindly

Hi,
The car is still for sale. It is in perfect shape. It has no scratches, dents and it was never involved in an accident or something like that. The VIN is 149486697. It has 65000 miles.
I have a clear title and it is on my name. Why is the price so low? I'm in Glasgow (United Kingdom) with my new work and I cannot register the car here, as it is made for USA, according to USA standards. So all that I want to do now is to sell the car at this price, because I need to sell it fast(I already made a deposit here to buy me another).
My final price is $4000. I already have tons of emails so I hope you understand that I need to sort them out. I will take in consideration only those buyers who are really interested in buying the car, to be sure that I don't waste my time with endless discussions. This way, I shall be assured of the serious intentions.
Thank you.
P.S. If you are decided to buy it, I can make a private auction just for you on eBay so you can purchase it there. That way you will receive assistance for the purchase, paperwork, title transfer and an extended warranty. They also are guaranteeing purchases up to 50.000 so we will both be protected.

Smells like a scam to me. What car is perfect has a clear title and now car CAN NOT be registered? dont you have to register it to get the title or do I have something backwards here? Get a contact phone number including the country code and google it to start with. |
