Ive not come across cosmoline, I dion't think we can get it over here.
Rust prevention is pretty vital over here, what with the British weather and all, so we've all become pretty good at it.
There are other products available, but these are just the ones I do / am / will use and they are pretty well available anywhere |

On the US West Coast Waxoyl has no retailers that I could find. They are all in snow / salt states.
There is another product in a spray can close. CRC Heavy duty corrosion inhibiter. I sprayed the trans after cleaning and it hardened to a golden waxy color. I got mine at West Marine. Smells like Cosmoline.

| Just to muddy the waters and make future searches more interesting lets add Per-al-ke-tone or Peralketone to the pile, I doubt it's still available but it's very similar to Waxoil. In Canada the equivalent to Waxoil is Rust check or rust-check, it comes in inner panel (thin and runny) or undercarriage (thick like gravy [so many other descriptions for it :P ]). |
