Here is the last pic until monday. I got both rear fenders final trimmed and test fit. The inner fender will be painted black so if wont be as obvious as it looks in the pics, no need for more trimming becasue the tires stick out well past that point. I am going to weld steel baja style fenders to whats left of the stock rear fenders (see earlier pics for a rough mockup). Monday I will throw the motor back in so I can build the rear bumper.

Will do. 8)
I didnt get as much done today as I wanted, but at least I got the gas tank mounts figured out and a bunch of ther small issues. I am using a Split Bus gas tank that will mount underneath the rear package tray between the back seat and the motor, and yes I put a firewall behind the back seat. Tomorrow I hope to make more progress mainly on the bumper and rear fenders. Pics to come. |

Here is a sneak peek at the rear bumper. I know the gap looks a little large between the top of the bumper and the back window, but once the rear wing is done it will look much better. It will have 4 lights total in the bumper, I just stuck one of them in there for reference. You can also see the metel for the rear fenders sitting on the rear tires. I hope to have most of that done this weekend and either paint the rear fenders or at least get them in primer. 8)

Got one of the rear fenders welded in place. Still have to remove what is left of the louvers and patch that and a little more metal work then its time for body work. I should have the rear bumper done and the fenders ready for primer tomorrow afternoon. I also started my wiring harness and am working on running the brake lines too.

Great show at Chirco yesterday!!!! Thanks to everyone who voted for my car!!!!!!!!!! It got 1st in best baja.
I have to say thanks to a few people
First to the whole Chirco crew for puting this show on.
Donnie Jones & Shawn Collins who both work for me at Bugzyla Fab and helped me in he mad thrash to get this to the show!!! I drove the car on the maiden voyage from Mesa to Tucon to the show and not one problem at all. Crused 65 - 70 MPH all the way there and back.
Thanks to Lyle for the great pics!!!

| Im in recouperate mode right now. The mad thrash to get it done drained me. I have a few more things to finish on it before I take it out for an offroad run, but pics will come as soon as it sees the dirt. 8) |

| I'm glad to hear it's actually going to be driven. I have seen way to many trailer queen bajas and 4wds, I just dont understand why those people even build them. |

I heard that, I saw a big ford excursion the other day that was lift to the moon and had at least 44s on it, I said to myself, That truck will never see dirt. |
