My 87 westy has this interesting musical warning when I turn the ignition on.
As it only beeps for 5 seconds am I correct in assuming it's just a timer to let make time to let the fuel pump juice up before firing the starter?
Thing is, it has become intermittent. Sometimes it doesnt beep. My question is - it's not part of anything more important is it?

It seems that most people pull out the relay which tells me its not critical but the fact that mine's intermittent has me puzzled.
No big deal, just wondering if anyone else came across this and if I need to go fishing for a problem. My ebrake warning light is flashing randomly. Might be the switch at the handle or I could have mice eating wires.
Mice crap flew out of the air ducts when I got the van (a couple of weeks ago now)
