Hi, first time poster, long time Vanagon owner here.
Forgive me if these have been asked before but my eyes were starting to cross after searching the forums.
Any suggestions on what to use to lubricate the the hinge on the rear seat or the track on the front seats? I injured my neck last winter trying to pull the bed out because one side is sticking (and nothing in the way of the hinge under the bench.) The front seats stick on all 3 of the Vanagons in my family (one for each driver) and it's a pain when you need to get to the battery. |

I use a spray white lithium grease, with the plastic tube to direct the jet of lube. If you suspect rust is in the mechanism, there's a product called Rusty Duck that you can buy at sporting goods stores that will remove the rust, then lubricate.
Best! |

| I used a castrol wax stick on the front seats over a year ago. Been smooth as butta since. |
