View original topic: Mechanically stripping paint in spots...

I need to hit a few spots on my Crewcab...mostly some floor surface rusting, a few outside spots, a bit on the gates etc.

I'm going to Masterseries it, but don't want to any damage to the body when stripping the paint.

I have D/A sanders, a 4" angle-grinder, etc. but am ignorant on using the twisted wire jobbies on the grinder vs. abrasive discs etc., which grits for spot-stripping so I don't mess the metal up etc.

Thanks for any advice!

i like flapper discs on angle grinders - 60 grit for major rust and weld grinding, 100 or 120 for lighter rust...then degreaser, then scuff sand, then masterseries...
