View original topic: Angle of clutch cable tube?

Can someone provide me with some kind of quantifiable measurement of angle or something that the clutch cable tube is supposed to be at up at the bowden tube end?

Just to be clear, I am not after bowden tube angle adjustment information. That's easy to find.

Why do I need this info?

I'm 99.9% sure that the end of the hard tube isn't angled correctly.

Why is this?

Years back my bay was an auto. It was then converted to a manual by my mechanic. Shortly after conversion the clutch cable snapped. It was from the cable rubbing on the end of the tube. He fixed it by bending it down, roughly parallel with the floor / ground / whatever.

This has never looked right to me and I want to adjust this before I adjust the bowden tube curve.

I'm trying to diagnose a really brutal shudder. I realise it's more than likely oil contamination, but it'd be nice to knock over other issues before it becomes time to pull things to bits again.

Thanks again.
