So, I'm parting out a camper project I had, and I'm wondering if I can ship the propane tank to a potential buyer? During some research I found threads on hot air balloonists in europe shipping their tanks, they are required to get them purged though. Will that fly for the usps? Anyonemhave any experience with this matter? Thanks!!

| Ship it empty and you will be OK. |

If you declare it a "propane" tank they will charge you for hazmat.
If you don't and they find it with a sniffer... you can have real problems. |

Its a touchy situation....Id say that USPS would be the best bet since they dont ask all the questions that the USPS does.
Shipping shock absorbers are considered to be a "hazardous item" and can cost a few bucks to ship.
They have to go by ground. |
