View original topic: wipers not working, fuse blowing

69 standard. wipers working fine one day dead as a door nail he next.
there was power going to the terminals on the wiper motor and the motor gets a little warm when turned on.

now the fuse is poping, but only when the switch is on low. when I put the switch on high than turn the ignition on the fuse does not blow. The motor still does not run though.

I have isolated the fuse blowing issue to the terminal I am pointing at in the pic below. when I remove this lead the fuse will not blow.

Can anyone tell me the values that are supposed to be on the motor terminals? Or, any ideas would help???????

I had a problem with mine and pulled it out to check. The pivot points got lubed up and I cleaned the motor as best I could. Reinstalled and all is well. Check the wires on the back of the switch to make sure one of them isn't grounding out on the chassis of the radio or anything else.

I had the same thing happen to me. My problem was one of my wiper shafts locked up. I replaced both shafts with new and now they work great.
