What's the tolerance for non-VW/non-Vanagon owners at these meets?
I've quietly lurked here for some time, asking few questions and mostly stealing good ideas. My daughter and I are huge Vanagon fans, though... |

You can just show up and join in the conversations, don't need a van or VW. It is a public place, with lots of other people around. It is pretty normal for people see the vans and come over to ask about them.

bring it on, we are friedly folk, come introduce yourselves :)
i'll hopefully not be turning meat into charcoal on a grill, bring something to eat, we kind of have an unofficial pot luck.
it's NOT dog friendly though, the park people will ask you to take them someplace else.

| We should try having the meet on Fiesta Island. Parking will never be an issue there, unless there is a Thunderboat Races Event. |

Ironically, Thunderboats is that same weekend, from Sept 15 to 17th. See http://www.sandiegobayfair.org/ for more info. While not directly effected by the T-boats, I would think that parking at De Anza Cove will be at a premium due to the rest of the closures in that area due to the races. |

Took this at mission bay two weeks ago!
